The Renaissance Group has been in existence for 30 years and has been a valued and effective organization for over 60 institutions through these years. The organization and our members have been responsive to a changing time and context, marshaling our collective efforts and critical forward thinking to address shared needs and opportunities.
Over the past several years, conversations of the TRG Board of Governors; representative member institution leaders; participants in open meeting forums; and other stakeholders have focused on the future of The Renaissance Group. During recent years, the reality of financial and governance context for an increasing number of institutions has resulted in dramatic declines in active membership and participation in national forums.
Earnest, thoughtful, and realistic discussions regarding the future have led the TRG Board of Governors to a consensus that The Renaissance Group has reached the end of its purpose, value, and function. Therefore, pursuant to the TRG Board’s directives, the organization is inactive as of September 1, 2019.
The TRG members and their leadership have institutionalized the principles and practices that have evolved over The Renaissance Group’s 30-year history. They will undoubtedly continue with their commitment and exemplary practices, ensuring the development of high-quality educators and programs.
