The deadline for Nominations for The Renaissance Group Leadership Award has been extended to May 16, 2016! The criteria and process can be found below.
This will be awarded at the Annual Fall Conference, which is going to be held October 8-11, 2016 in Charleston, South Carolina. Please hold the date and plan to join us for another successful event!
Renaissance Leadership Award
The Renaissance Group is a national, professional consortium of colleges and universities with a major commitment to the preparation of educational professionals, and to the promotion of exemplary practices, partnerships and leadership that ensure high levels of teaching and learning in all of America’s schools. This leadership award is to honor an individual who exemplifies this and meets the criteria below.
- A person of significant leadership who has contributed to the area of education.
- A leader who has ties to The Renaissance Group.
- A person who has advanced educator preparation with a record of his/her contribution in at least one of the TRG principles.
- A leader who has demonstrated collaborative working relationships.
Please nominate someone whom you think would qualify for this honor. Submit a two-page letter of nomination and the nominee’s curriculum vita to the Executive Director, Dr. Karen Wetherill at wetherill.TRG@gmail.com. These must be received no later than May 16, 2016 to be considered for this year’s award, which is provided at the fall conference.
